One of the projects I had the opportunity to contribute to was Red Rocks Worship’s newest album, Promised Land (Deluxe). While I was not responsible for creating the album cover, I played a role in bringing the album’s visual identity to life through social media graphics, YouTube thumbnails, and promotional assets for both Red Rocks Church and YouTube. My goal was to maintain consistency with the established album branding while finding creative ways to promote the project across different platforms. This project allowed me to take an existing visual identity and extend it into a variety of applications, helping create a cohesive experience for audiences as they engaged with the album online and through the church.

Inspo:

The Promised Land (Deluxe) album cover served as the primary inspiration for the promotional assets I created for Red Rocks Worship. I drew from its warm, earthy tones, textured rock formations, and glowing projected typography to carry the visual style across social media graphics and promotional materials for Red Rocks Church. By pulling these elements from the original cover, I was able to maintain a cohesive look across each platform while adapting the design to fit different formats and purposes. The goal was to make each asset feel like a natural extension of the album artwork, keeping the visual identity recognizable and consistent throughout the release.

The YouTube thumbnails for Promised Land (Deluxe) were designed to build on the visual style established for the original Promised Land release. Using the existing thumbnails as a reference, I worked to maintain consistency in typography, imagery, and overall composition. This approach helped preserve the recognizable visual identity of the original album while ensuring the new thumbnails felt cohesive with the expanded project.

For the Let Me Say lyric video, I developed the visual direction that carried the song’s typography and LED wall visuals into the final YouTube video. Our Red Rocks Worship videographer then shot and filmed the video, bringing the concept to life on camera. The goal was to repurpose the existing LED wall visuals in a way that felt intentional and cohesive with the broader Promised Land (Deluxe) visual identity. I also designed the YouTube thumbnail to reflect the video’s visual direction, creating a consistent connection between the video itself and its presentation on YouTube.

Church Promotion:

This promotional graphic was created for use in the Red Rocks Church app and on tap plates, which direct people to discover events, resources, and other things happening at the church. I adapted the Promised Land (Deluxe) visual identity into a format that could communicate the album’s release clearly while maintaining the established aesthetic. By incorporating the album artwork, warm textures, and glowing typography, the design remained consistent with the broader promotional campaign while helping connect the album to the church’s digital and in-person experiences.

This YouTube banner was designed to promote Promised Land (Deluxe) while maintaining the album’s established visual identity across different screen sizes. I carried over the warm, textured background, glowing orange tones, and album artwork to create a consistent promotional look. The layout was built to adapt across formats, from mobile phones and desktop screens to TV displays, keeping the most important information centered and visible as the banner crops to fit each device. This approach allowed the graphic to maintain its visual impact and communicate the album’s release clearly, regardless of how the audience encountered it on YouTube.

Socials Graphics:

I created a series of social media graphics to promote the release of Promised Land (Deluxe) across multiple platforms and formats. Using the album cover as the primary visual reference, I carried its warm, textured background, glowing typography, and dark, earthy tones throughout the campaign. I also developed platform-specific variations for Instagram Stories to highlight the streaming services where the album was available, including Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and YouTube. Each graphic maintained the established visual identity while adapting the messaging to fit its specific purpose. Creating these variations allowed me to keep the campaign visually consistent while giving each platform a clear, direct call to action that encouraged audiences to listen to the album.
