During my internship at Elevation Church, I had the opportunity to photograph one of their Young Adults events, Chapel—made even more meaningful as it marked Chapel’s one-year celebration and featured special guest Lizzie Morgan from Red Worship. I was part of a capture team of two photographers (including myself) and three videographers, working together to document the energy and excitement of the night. Because these photos were needed for same-day social media content and upcoming marketing materials for Elevation Young Adults, I edited the images immediately after the event to ensure they were ready for quick turnaround.

Shooting in a low-light environment pushed me creatively and gave me the chance to experiment with a professional-grade flash, which helped elevate the aesthetic and showed me the fun possibilities of using flash at future events. This experience not only sharpened my technical skills but also deepened my ability to tell the story of a moment as it unfolds.
